AI4PG supports data science and AI research that advances public goods funding through improved decision-making, transparent allocation, and impact assessment. We provide fast grants of up to USD 10,000 for accepted proposals. We will award a total of up to USD 150,000 in grants across all projects and reviewers.

The program is funded by Gitcoin, Ethereum Foundation, Octant, Seer, Funding the Commons, Hypercerts and GainForest. We are partnering with the academic secretariat of the Ethereum Foundation and we will announce all accepted proposals in recerts.org.

We welcome applications from researchers worldwide, regardless of institutional affiliation or traditional academic credentials. We particularly encourage proposals from researchers in the Global South, practitioners with on-the-ground experience in public goods funding, independent researchers, and those from non-traditional backgrounds who bring diverse perspectives to AI development.

Our goal is to support innovative ideas from a broad range of voices and experiences that can advance equitable and effective public goods funding systems.
